What approaches would you take to find out more information about the underlying reasons for her new behaviour? Case Study 1: Lomi Lomi is a 4-year-old girl who has been attending the Little.ly Early Learning Centre for 12 months, 3 days per week. Lomi arrived in Australia with her mother as refugees 2 years ago. She has weakness in her right hand and a large scar on her wrist from an injury sustained during her journey to Australia. She seemed to be settling in well at Little.ly but has recently been withdrawing from the other children almost every day and occasionally having a toileting accident. Additional case study information Lomi has been sitting by herself in the corner of the play area for 20 minutes. She is sitting with her arms around her knees staring at the ground. This behaviour is new and out of character for Lomi.
