Atcase is an allosteric enzyme at the beginning of the

ATCase is an allosteric enzyme at the beginning of the pathway for the biosynthesis of the nucleotides, CTP and UTP. ATCase is activated in vitro by ATP adn inhibited by CTP. Both ATP and CTP affect the affinity for the substrate, aspartate, but not the Vmax. In the absence of ATP or CTP, the concentration of aspartate required for half-maximal activity is about 5 mM. Draw and clearly label a v0 vs. [aspartate] plot for ATCase, and state how CTP and ATP affect v0 when [aspartate]= 5mM.
