Every example/claim you make in the body must support the thesis. And every example/claim should be backed up with direct quotes from the primary text.
Summary may only be used for 2 reasons:
1) to briefly (2-3 sentences max) introduce your paper.
2) one piece of the primary text may be summarized only if it is necessary to give an example/claim context.
Essay 1 Question:
At the end of "A Good Man is Hard to Find," with the exception of June Star's protest that she will not take Bobby Lee's hand because he "reminds" her "of a pig" (151), along with the Grandmother's pleading later on, the Grandmother's family simply follows Bobby Lee out to the woods to be executed.
Is this believable? Why or why not? Cite specific passages of how each family member is characterized to make your argument.
