At early 1990s, the employees with some antiquated idea could not follow the quality standard that caused great trouble for Haier, which was just founded. The CEO of Haier did not fire the employees rather than training them, and finally the company get out of trouble. 

In 1985, the director of Haier import the Germany’s new production line in order to cut the gap between China and western countries of science and technology. When he stepped up efforts to clean up the factory, the Germany company who provide the production line indicated that they want to change the schedule of the examining. So the CEO of Haier and all the employees worked all day and all night to solve the problem. The first production line with Germany finally succeeded refrigerator assembly line. Under enormous pressure of the market, Haier needed to increase the production. However, the employees have no experience and did not care about the quality which caused some problems for their products. The CEO did not give up or fire them rather than insisting on staff training.
