Asteroid impacts: The hypothesis which links certain mass extinction events with the impact of the comet or asteroid, most particularly the mass extinction 65 million years which became the reason of disappearance of dinosaurs and many other reptilian groups. Asteroid impacts early in the history of earth also contributed to the formation of atmosphere and oceans.
