Assumption that the average passenger weighs

A regional airline has been selling seats based on the assumption that the average passenger weighs no more than 180 pounds. A recent survey of n = 100 passengers gave a sample mean of 186 pounds with a sample standard deviation of 32 pounds. The research hypothesis is that the average weight of passengers exceeds the standard, and is given a normal test.

a) If this test is condwith a Type 1 error of a(alpha)=0.05, and the true mean is u1=190, what is the power of the test?

b) If managment requires the type II error for the test be B(beta)=0.05, how large a sample is required to detect the true mean u1=190
