Purpose: Students should gain a better understanding of how to outline and execute the process of creating a team charter and high-level work plan for a project as a result of this assignment.
Assignment Description: United Home Builders is a privately held home manufacturing business located in the Midwest. United Home Builders has been building custom homes for over fifty years. They recently learned about the concept of project management and have been intrigued with the possibilities for their business to employ this. They have decided to trial this approach out on a new residential development they are leading in Illinois. This project has been named the Enclave.
United recently hired you to direct and run this new approach within their business. As part of this they have asked you to develop a draft project charter and initial high level work plan around the Enclave project. Please use what you have learned to date, and your knowledge of what might be involved in building a home to develop these.
