Assignment Brief:
'Dex Consulting' is a leading research and consultancy firm researching new market trends and Emerging Technology for corporate clients and the consumer market. You currently work as a technology analyst for 'Dex Consulting'. As part of your role, your manager has tasked you to produce a report and present your findings on a specific Emerging Technology for a potential client. You are required to identify a specific user group you believe will be most influenced by this Emerging Technology.
As part of this process you must:
Assignment Part A:
1. Develop a report using research gathered about your chosen Emerging Technology, industry and end user. This report will be in the form of a document and will include supporting evidence and material such as user personas, hype cycle, etc. You may organize your report as follows; (select an organization and do a research to a specific requirement in ET)
Activity 01:
- Assess formats, characteristics, trends, pros and cons of Emerging Technologies focusing on their relevance to software development and computing.(explain characteristic, formats, trends in selected ET)
- Evaluate the ability of Emerging Technology to disrupt the status quo throughout industries, markets, user adoption and established practices.(explain the gathered above things side of user, industry and market)
Activity 02:
- Select a specific Emerging Technology and review, evaluate and critique the same (features, benefits, advantages and Disadvantages, influence on a specific industry and end user group and market)(discover features, benefits, advantages, disadvantages, influences in selected ET in side of industry, user and market)
- Show how Emerging Technologies can converge with existing technologies or replace them. Relate the same for your chosen Emerging Technology.(Explain previous technology related to the researched technology and how can converge it)
Activity 03
- Evaluate your report findings and research (You may evaluate the political, economic and social factors which play a role in the competition between Emerging Technologies and their success or failure in the future).(Evaluate political, social, economic impacts and their success and failures implementing)
Assignment Part B:
Arrange a presentation to demonstrate your findings, gather feedback and answer questions. This will include the research and findings from your report.
