The following story is a fictional account of an undercover investigation leading up to the mythical Democratic-Republican National Convention event in Miami, Florida.
The story is loosely based on an amalgamation of real life occurrences in the lead up to the Free Trade Area of the Americas conference in Miami, Florida in 2003. The names of all the characters in the story are fictional.
As you read the story, keep in mind what ethical and legal issues are likely to arise during the undercover investigation. At the end of the story, you will be asked to respond to several questions related to the ethical comport of undercover investigations.
