Q1. Let me share my example. The state college I am working for was formed 14 years ago and it was affiliated to at least 2 other colleges. When the split finally occurred in 2008 (ordered by the legislature) there were 4 different campuses, in addition to smaller locations. The continuous issue we are having is that certain campuses are employing individuals from the colleges we were split and "inherited" that culture. As much as we (the college and senior management) are promoting one college and one culture, it is just not working - each campus is maintaining its own culture. What do think is this doing to our strategic plan?
Q2. The reading in this chapter is also discussing Board of Directors and the Governance Issue. What is your experience with a Board of Directors? How is it handled in your organization, is there shared governance?
