PRESENTATION OF ASSIGNMENT

  • Must include a title page.
  • Number all pages sequentially.
  • Any published material you refer to must be properly referenced (Harvard Referencing) and included in a reference list at the end of your assignment.Pick a research topic/question.

1) Are you using qualitative, quantitative or mixed methods?

2) What type of data collection methods will you use? i.e. Surveys/interviews/focus groups/etc.?

3) 5-6 question in total for your data collection(e.g. 5 interview questions and one survey question; 6 focus group questions).

PART B
The assignment contains two parts: Research proposal and critique a journal paper.

The research proposal assignment -
1. The Description:
Apply facts and knowledge has been given in the course theoretically in business environment and situation. The proposal should include a convincing introduction to clear research problem, related research objectives, doable research questions and hypotheses (if applicable). The proposal is also should contains a brief description about the research design that should be used, the target population, the sampling procedure needed, and the data collection tool required.

2. The Learning Objectives:
By doing this assignment, student will be able to
a) Apply knowledge that has been taken theoretically during the class time in real situation.
b) Live the difficulties of each stage of the scientific research that researchers usually are in.
c) Write an appropriate proposal for his/her master.

The critique a journal paper assignment -
1. The Description:
On the other hand, each student should be able to read journal paper critically in order to see what have been given in the course. The majority of your critique, however, should consist of your qualified opinion of the article. Read the article you are to critique once to get
an overview. Then read it again, critically.

The critique should include some basic information besides using the handout given in the class:
a) Name(s) of the author(s)
b) Title of article
c) Title of journal, volume number, date, month and page numbers
d) Statement of the problem or issue discussed
e) The author's purpose, approach or methods, hypothesis, and major conclusions.

2. The Learning Objectives:
By doing this assignment, student will be able to
a) See how professionals do a research.
b) Fine out the difference between the published paper and what he learned.
c) Know what should be written in the paper for the reader.
