Are there any places in the text in which you felt

After the chronology (finishing on page xxxiv of the Penguin version) there is a facsimile of the title page as it looked when Jane Eyre was first published. On this page, it calls Jane Eyre "An Autobiography," which implies that Jane is writing her life story at some later time than when the events first took place. This also implies that Jane--as the narrator--is exercising more narrative control over the story than a book narrator usually does. Are there any places in the text in which you felt, as the reader, that Jane was hiding something from us, or that she was being an unreliable narrator?
