Assignment task:
I do believe that media outlets are more prone to agenda setting or framing. I believe that they make money off of engagement, so they strategically set an agenda to get the public to respond to bait. They often post material with a misleading title. For example, they may post something along the lines of, "(Inserts celebrity name) Divorce Number Five?". It is clickbait the causes people to be curious. However, when you actually open the article, it is mostly speculation and rumor. There are no valid facts. No divorce filings or proceedings are actually in progress. The main goal is to get clicks for engagement and ultimately make a profit. If the agenda setting is done on a social media platform, they may get engagement by people liking, sharing, commenting and/or arguing back and forth. These media platforms may get heavy traffic on their websites or online magazines as well.
A lot of political media outlets may try to use framing techniques to get people to side with their political agenda. If one watches a lot of Fox News, they may see politics from one frame whereas if they watch mostly CNN they may view politics differently. Need Assignment Help?
