Are data suitable for truly characterizing tensile property

To characterize an alumina ceramic, one sample is tested in three-point bending (SigmaB=420 MPa) and the other sample in four-point bending (SigmaB=485 MPa). Subject the results to a critique: (i) Can SigmaB be larger in four-point bending? Justify. (Draw sketches to clarify your answer) (ii) Are the data suitable for truly characterizing the tensile properties of the material? Why? (iii) What test or tests would be better?
