Learning Activity-2 - Unique 21st Century Ethical Business Issues
Theme 2 this week focuses on the questions of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability as well as the issues arising from the unprecedented use of information. State whether you feel that businesses have a responsibility to be concerned with the environment above and beyond the bounds of the law and justify your position. Discuss whether restrictions need to be placed on the use of technology in business. How much information should businesses be permitted to collect on individuals and if it should be controlled, how could that be accomplished? How does the Internet affect the privacy of individuals? Does the use and application of artificial intelligence (AI) need to be controlled? What are the ethical and moral implications of unrestricted AI? What are the eventual outcomes of AI replacing people? State your positions and justify them.
