Problem: This assessment task requires students to apply the biopsychosocial model to a specific field of practice in which social workers may work. Students are required to describe the field through the lens of the biopsychosocial model, noting important biological, psychological, and social phenomena that social workers can expect to encounter in the field of practice, and describe important therapeutic and supportive approaches social workers may take when working in that field, in keeping with a biopsychosocial approach.
