A.N.S. (Autonimic Nervous System)
Name given by Langley. Controled by Hypothelamus. Partially independent system.
Controls involuntary actions as heart beat, breathing, homeostasis, peristalasis secretion of glands.
So a ganglionic system that controls involuntary action is A.N.S.
Internal organ receive fibres fron 2 sources - sensory & motor.
Nerve of sensory region is originated from dorsal root and nerve of motor region is originated from ventral root.
Visceral motor fibres are divided into 2 parts -
1. Preganglionic - Medullated (white matter)
2. Postganglionic - Non-Medullated (grey matter)
