Three different faceplate designs have been selected for the radio intended for a new luxury auto- mobile, and safety engineers would like to examine the extent to which their operation will be relatively intuitive to the motorist. Nine drivers are selected and randomly placed into one of three groups (faceplate 1, faceplate 2, and faceplate 3). Each driver is then asked to insert a music CD and play track number 18, and engineers mea- sure how long it takes for this task to be accomplished.
