A circular platform having radius Rp = 3.85 m and mass Mp = 341 kg rotates on the frictionless air bearings about its vertical axis at 6.81 rpm. A man of 65.7 kg standing at the very center of the platform starts walking (at t = 0) radially outward at a speed of 0.491 m/s with respect to the platform. Approximating the man through a vertical cylinder of radius Rm = 0.205 m, find out an equation (specific expression) for the angular velocity of the platform as a function of time. Determine the angular velocity if the man reaches the edge of the platform?
