Every day, we are exposed to a tremendous amount of information about medications. Drug advertising is so common that many patients today have already self-diagnosed their symptoms by consulting "Dr. Google" and have already selected the medication they want based on the advertising they have seen.
For this forum, take note of all the drug advertising you are exposed to over a 24 hour period. You should include radio & TV commercials, magazine & internet advertisements, billboards, and any other sources you notice.
Select one medication to investigate in detail. Provide the drug's brand name(s), generic name, and medical conditions the drug is used to treat. Summarize how the drug acts on the body in your own words and list the most common side effects.
