Analyzing legal form of business

Assignment:

Flight attendants prepare for landing," was the sound of the Air Jamaica flight captain's voice over the intercom, announcing the arrival of flight JM015, as it touched down in New York. Stella was energized from her 2-week vacation in Jamaica. She was determined to pick up herself from the depressing feeling of her recent job loss as an investment banker for 15 years. As she returned to the loneliness of her 7 bedroom mansion in the Hamptons, Stella was unconcerned about paying the $6,000 per month mortgage; not only has she done very well over the years, but also built up a respectable personal savings account. Right now her only concern was to call Natty, an eccentric Rastafarian she had met in Jamaica. There, Natty owned and operated an ethnic clothing store. He had promised to move back to the United States with Stella only if he gets to continue the business here. She enthusiastically agreed. In fact, Stella wanted to join him in the business as a partner. Her only concern was whether to set up the business right now or wait until they get married and Natty becomes a permanent resident (Green Card) As a business student, you are required to advise Stella on two possibilities:

  • What legal form of business-( Domestic corporation, Foreign corporation, or Alien corporation) should she set up and why, if she:?

a. Forms the business before she gets married to Natty.

b. Waits until after she gets married and Natty becomes a US resident (Green card).

Your answer must be typed, double-spaced, Times New Roman font (size 12), one-inch margins on all sides, APA format and also include references.
