Assignment:
Choose an historic American time period from the following list: 1700-1750, 1750-1800, 1800-1850, 1850-1900, 1900-1950, or 1950-2000
Analyze various aspects of American culture in terms of drug use and abuse from that time period and relate it to current drug legislation and public policy as well as other current responses to drugs. For example, you can review and examine legislation of the time period, the media's relationship to drug use, drug use and advertising, and general societal reaction to drug use and abuse, etc.
Alternately, you may focus your research on a specific drug and analyze its use and abuse during one of the specific time periods mentioned above.
Your Assignment should be a minimum of 4 pages of written text, using APA format (the cover and reference pages are not included in the minimum).
The Assignment should contain a title page and a list of references in APA format.
All internal citation of outside sources plus the listing of all references should also adhere to APA format.
You may consult the Library, the internet, the textbook, other course material, and any other outside resources in supporting your task, using proper citations in APA style.
