RADIOHEAD - maximum number of words: 600
Radiohead has hired you, a consultant, to tell them whether their release strategy for the new album will be successful. Write a memorandum to Radiohead arguing your evaluation. You may suggest an alternative in your evaluation, but it is not necessary.
You should also include a heading segment (i.e. "TO:, FROM:, DATE:, and SUBJECT:" ) at the top of your Memorandum.
USEFUL NOTES:
1. Try to incorporate human behavior into your analysis AND into your vision of what your precise goal as a consultant hired by Radiohead is in writing this memo. In other words, consider what you want, what they want, and how those two can mesh in this memo.
2. Be sure to analyze the scenario thoroughly and capture the heart of what the question is about: as we discussed in class, depending on your criteria, there is a basic math formula comparing the plan to alternatives that must form a substantial core of your analysis.
3. Put some thought into the criteria and the goal: what does Radiohead want and how can that happen?
Here is a template you may wish to consult when deciding how to structure your memo to radiohead. Consider that every memo may be different and warrant some variation from this template.
INTRODUCTION
State the subject: what have you been asked to evaluate in this memo
State the goal: what is the goal you are looking to achieve?
State the evaluation: What is your overall evaluation in a nutshell?
ANALYSIS
Analyze the scenario by providing conclusions that support your overall evaluation supported by specific evidence from the case and/or sound logical proof. This may come in many forms and may take multiple paragraphs. You will have to decide what is the best order in which to present these conclusions and this analysis. Be sure to make each paragraph a cohesive unit that is advancing one thesis.
CONCLUDE
Wrap up the memo by reiterating your conclusion and overarching reasons. You may wish to provide a specific course of action you think should be undertaken from here.
The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
