When the Civil War began in 1861, the Confederate army achieved a number of major military victories, in spite of the fact that they were lacking in manpower and resources. In July of 1863, the tide turned and by April 1865, the South was completely destroyed.

For this exercise, I would like you to analyze the reasons the Union triumphed in the Civil War.

Choose one of the following topics and explain why you think it was instrumental in the North’s victory.
