Samworth brothers family business is based on the family values of people, quality, and, long-term orientation. These values are important as they have enabled the company's entrepreneurial ventures overtime. However, at present, Samworth Brothers is experiencing a significant change in leadership especially with respect to family presence in the firm's management: Mark Samworth (the only fourth generation family member active in firm's management) is retiring from his position on the Group Executive Board (GEB), along with the long time CEO Lindsey Pownall who was worked well with Mark. With this change at the top, will Samworth Brothers business continue to have the (i) family values and (ii) the entrepreneurial commitment that the family has embedded in the business overtime?
