COMPOSITION ESSAY ASSIGNMENT
For this essay, I ask that you prepare an essay that presents an insightful, accurate analysis of any poem from our textbook. The poem you choose to write about must be over ten lines.
Topic:
Analyze the poem and explain how the poet uses literary elements from poetry to convey that theme. You will need to discuss some mixture (at least two) of the following: word choice, speaker, situation/conflict, tone/mood, symbols and imagery.
You may also want to include biographical information about your poet in this essay. This means that when doing your research, you should consider using a secondary source that discusses your poet's life.

This essay must be at least 750 words (not including the Works Cited page).
