Leadership: The Beginning. consider the following ideas: "A natural-born leader" and " leaders are made, not born." Analyze the meaning of these two (2) ideas. Are they in direct opposition to each other? Can both coexist? Determine to which idea you ascribe and defend your position. Examine your leadership role assessment, including your preliminary action plan for gaining the skills which you do not currently possess. Analyze the impact leadership has on organizational performance, including its effects on followers.
"Leadership Characteristics. Analyze the general personality traits of effective leaders. Determine two (2) traits that you feel are critical for effective leaders and defend your position. Examine various leadership motives. Do you believe there are positive and negative motives for leadership? Justify your answer, using examples of at least two (2) types of motives.
