This assignment consists of accessing a news article pertaining to the branch of the federal government you chose in your small group.
You need to analyze the article and make specific and direct connections to two (2) concepts that we have covered in class.
The source must be less than four weeks old from the time of submission. Acceptable sources are:
The Dallas Morning News, NPR, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The Washington Post. Contact me if you want to use an article from a source that is not on this list.
You are to include the following criteria in your assignment:
1. Article title and source - Using the MLA style of citation, where did you get the article?
2. Summary - Briefly and in your own words, summarize the content of the article.
3. Connection Connect the article to a concept about your chosen branch of government that we have covered in class( i.e. the legislature branch of government)
a. Identify the concept that you state the article connects to.
b. Include the definition of the concept.

4. Connection -Connect the article to any federal government concept we have covered in class. This cannot be the same concept as listed in connection

Write your paper in paragraph form using good sentence structure with proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
Write the paper in your own words. If you need to use a short quote, cite properly.
The paper should be one to two pages in length, doublespaced, one inch margins, and 12-inch point font.
