Discussion Post: Unfair Treatment
Pathways contracted some actors for a television program for a three-month shooting schedule. However, the program underwent major revisions and one role was changed from a middle-aged white female to a young African-American female. Pathways terminated the contract with the actress according to the terms of the contract. However, the actress had turned down another assignment to be able to work on the Pathways program. She has accused Pathways of unfair treatment and racial discrimination.
Analyze the scenario and argue for or against the actress' complaint. Give reasons and cite relevant laws and precedence in support of your position.
