1. Clarify, for yourself, meanings of the terms race (and ethnicity), gender, and social class in U.S. society.
2. Examine, explain, or analyze problems of social inequality including prejudice, racism, and discrimination in the U.S.
3. Required: Cite the Staggenborg readings to substantiate your responses, including the American Civil Rights Movement (Protest Cycle of the 1960s), Women's Movement, and LGBT Movement.
