Assignment: Forgiveness in the World around us
Choose a specific offense that occurred in a family, personal relationship, community, or in the world.
Write a 5 to 7 page paper in which you describe:
o What occurred (no more than 1/2 page)
o Analyze the likely motivations and injustices felt by each party (or group) involved (1/2 page)
o The challenges and complications to forgiveness in this offense (2 page)
o What forgiveness researchers would suggest be needed to take place for peace or (if appropriate) reconciliation (3 pages)
In your paper, make specific ties to concepts in your textbook and peer-reviewed research.
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
o The answer should be typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, with one-inch margins on all sides.
o The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
