Explain how a liberal and conservative would approach developing the US budget. Use evidence to support your response from assigned readings or online lessons, and at least one outside scholarly source.

If I was a libertarian (Magstadt, 33), I would be an adherent of an extreme form of classical liberalism. I would share viewpoints on the economy with modern conservatives. I might read Ayn Rand (Links to an external site.), follow Rand Paul on twitter (Links to an external site.), and support a balanced budget amendment (Links to an external site.). A balanced budget amendment would require that the government keep a balanced budget. Would I be right that a balanced budget amendment would be a good idea? What are the chances that I could have this wish come true?

Let's revisit some terminology before we get too far. What is conservatism? How does a modern conservative differ from a traditional conservative? What is classical liberalism? What is modern liberalism? What is libertarianism?
The response should include a reference list. Double-space, using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
