It is critical to the company's success to effectively assess the market and be familiar with efficient global sourcing practices to inform your decision for selecting a supply vendor.
Before you consider your options, some research is required to ensure you make the best decision. For this assessment, you may create a fictitious supply vendor or use one found on this website by searching for suppliers of certain product parts: Focus Technology Company, Ltd.
Your Role - Option 1
You are a supply chain manager for JM Manufacturing and you need to be familiar with outsourcing supply chain practices. The vendor selection must be grounded in the business needs that are best for your organization. After performing your research, you are to provide an analytical report to senior leadership.
Deliverable Format - Requirements: The analytical report should be 5-6 pages, not including the title and reference pages. Use a report template of your choice. Use at least five scholarly or academic sources, where applicable, one of which must come from the Wall Street Journal. Use APA formatting for citations and references.
