Analyzing Images that show in the documents atteched.

The following exercise asks you to think about the rhetorical effects of different images of wolves and particularly about how they can create implicit argu-ments in the public controversy about hunting wolves in western states. The gray wolf had been on the federal Endangered Species list but was removed in 2012 when the wolf population had grown. However, "wolf wars" have flared in Montana, Wyoming, and especially Minnesota since then. Ranchers and hunters argue that wolves are too numerous and aggressive in hunting live-stock and game and have lobbied for hunting permits from state governments to kill hundreds of wolves. In contrast, animal rights groups, environmental organizations, and the Ojibwe/Anishinaabe and Sioux have lobbied against these hunting permits, arguing that wolf populations should be allowed to grow in order to sustain a natural ecological system in which wolves help keep deer and other wild animal populations in balance.
