Analyze a christian response to evil as described

Problem: Christianity in the Modern World

The problem of evil and the existence of God are in a sense two sides of the same problem. First, identify and analyze the first two proofs for the existence of God, i.e., The Argument from Design and the First Cause Argument (cf. Kreeft, pp 24-35). Think about them. Did they convince you? If the answer is no, and it usually is, then what purpose do they serve? Would it make a difference to you if the proofs were beefed up, made better? How would Jesus have responded to attempts to prove the existence of God?

Then, identify and describe one non-Christian response to evil (cf. Cunningham and Kelsay, pp.105-111). Did you find the response satisfactory? If not, why not? Then analyze a Christian response to evil as described in both texts. The Book of Job and the writings of St. Augustine are seminal in this regard.

The response must include a reference list. Using Times New Roman 12 pnt font, double-space, one-inch margins, and APA style of writing and citations.
