Homework: Project Proposal
Overview
This is the first of four homework which, as a whole, will cover all aspects of the project life cycle relevant to your selected project. You have been selected to be the project manager (for a project of your choice). The project that you decide to use should meet the key criteria of a project:
o Has a beginning and an end.
o Results in something being delivered to someone.
o Requires a series of activities that must be done to complete the project.
o Requires resources (e.g., people, materials) to complete the work.
Instructions
Write a 4 to 6 pages paper in which you define the scope of your chosen project. In your paper you must:
o Provide a brief summary of your chosen project.
o Describe at least three project goals and three project objectives.
o Identify the key customer(s) and at least two stakeholders for your project. Remember, you are delivering the project to your customer(s), however the stakeholders have a vested interest in your project.
o Describe at least three key milestones and/or deliverables for your project.
o Describe a high-level timeline that includes key tasks and deadlines.
o Estimate the project's overall costs and any key staffing and non-staffing resources needed.
Format your homework according to the following formatting requirements:
o The answer should be typed, using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, with one-inch margins on all sides.
o The response also includes a cover page containing the title of the homework, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
o Also include a reference page. The Citations and references must follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
