Portfolio Project
Choose a criminal justice organization for which you aspire to work (probation/parole, police agency, corrections, courts, etc.) or specific topic (such as women or under-represented groups in criminal justice, leadership in the military).
With your chosen CJ topic, use the CSU Global Library and other credible sources to conduct research on your chosen sector. Based on your research, provide an analysis of the development of leadership theory and practice, current challenges, future direction, and recommendations for best leadership practices in the particular area of interest that you are focusing on.
Present the findings of your research, your analysis of the organization or agency, and recommendations for navigating the leadership issues that are unique to the sector.
In addition to a Title Page and References Page, the project format should include the following sections:
I. Introduction
II. Historical Development
III. Research/Analysis
IV. Leadership Challenges (in chosen field)
V. Recommendations
VI. Conclusion
Support your analysis by citing a minimum of six credible sources of which three are journal articles/professional magazine articles. Other credible sources may be found in magazines, newspapers, good web site articles, and even YouTube, TV programs/specials, etc.
Your paper would be 10 to 12 pages in length, well written, and formatted per CSU-Global guidelines for APA Style.
