This assignment consists of two parts. The first part is an analysis of your hotel's performance based on the decisions made on room rates, distribution channels and strategies your team implemented in Year 1 of the HOTS simulation. The second part is a business plan for Year 2 based on the outcome of Year 1.

Remember that Assessment is an individual report and you will be reporting on the performance of your team's hotel in Year 1 as well as setting plans for Year 2. Just a reminder - do not just report on the financials (e.g. ADR, Occupancies, etc) - focus on why they happened - what decision/s led to these results/performances. Report from the perspective of the position you have undertaken (e.g. Rooms Division Manager or Financial Controller or Director of Sales & Marketing) for your hotel.
Following the end of this week, we would have completed cycling 12 months of operating results which you will require in order to complete Assessment. This assessment is in a Report format so remember to summarize all your findings and results, etc., in the Executive Summary. Remember that in some cases, the Executive Summary may be the only part of your report that is read by busy senior executives.
