Project scope management (Focused Discussion)

The most important thing when defining the project's scope is to make sure that it is completely clear to everyone involved what the project scope encompasses. The scope statement has to be complete and understandable, but above all, it has to be unambiguous. A proven strategy to accomplish an unambiguous project scope statement is to define clearly the SMART(specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and time-bound components) requirements for a project. For this Focused Discussion, you will analyse and discuss effective project scope management strategies. (See 6.7b, page 236 of text-book regarding SMART)
