An Otto cycle and a Carnot cycle working between the same maximum and minimum temperature limits does not have the same efficiency, nor does a Rankine and the corresponding Carnot cycle have the same efficiency. Explain why not? Of the two cycles Otto and Rankine, which one has efficiency closer to the corresponding Carnot cycle? Explain why?
