Question: BUILDING TEAM SKILLS
An interesting approach taken by Yahoo.com and several other websites is to provide viewers with the tools needed to create a personal Web page or community. Yahoo's GeoCities site (https://geocities.yahoo.com) provides simple instructions for creating a site and posting your own content, such as articles and photographs.
Assignment: 1. Working in a group, examine some of the GeoCities communities and personal Web pages. Discuss which sites you think work well and which do not. Explain your reasoning.
2. Develop an idea for your own website. Draw a sketch of how you would like the site to appear on the Internet. You may use ideas that look good on other personal pages.
3. Who is your target audience, and why do you think they will want to visit the site?
