An air-standard Diesel cycle has a compression ratio of 16 and a cutoff ratio of 2. At the beginning of the compression process, air is at 95 kPa and 27 degrees celcius. For a heat addition qin = 913.9 kJ/kg and a heat rejection qout = 353 kJ/kg assuming constant specific heats at room temperature

b) determine the net work output (wnet,out)

c) determine the thermal efficency of the cycle

d) determine the mean effective pressure (MEP) defined by the expression below.

MEP = wnet/(v1-v2). v1= maxmimum air specific volume and v2 is minimum air specific volume.
