Problem Statement

Marginalization through the current unstable globalization has left the African Continent behind in development despite the existence of their vast natural resources. Intensification of inequality has undeniably created new capitalist globalization. Indeed there is a definite functional relationship between globalization, inequality, and poverty in the sub-Saharan Africa. (Ukpere, 2011).

The current research problem can be considered to contain three different parts, firstly assessment of the potential of entrepreneurship as a solution to the poverty problem in the region. Secondly the identification of the testimonials which prove the capabilities of the enterprises in the area. Thirdly, the ways and means which it can be used to enforce, enlighten and make the citizenry potent enough to take up the challenges of the entrepreneurship and using it as a tool of self-sustenance as well as for the economic development of the region as a whole.

At this stage, the prime intention of this research is being studied to understand the role of the only entrepreneurial business in decreasing the unemployment rate in Africa.

There are regional communities like The Economic Communities of the West African States (ECOWAS), the African Union (AU) and international communities such as the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB). They can be more confident to invest their resources and efforts in developing these the regional resources to meet the requirements of the sub-Saharan countries.
