All 15 camera images are combined and transmitted

1. Information representation
A security camera in an office building has 1000 x 1000 pixels. Each pixel shows a grayscale intensity of 1024 levels. The camera takes one image per second. The building has 15 identical cameras with the same specification as described above.

a. How many bits does each pixel take?
b. What is the size of each image?

c. What is the data rate of all the 15 cameras combined?

d. All 15 camera images are combined and transmitted to the security guard station over a T-1 line (1.5 Mbps), which will then be displayed on 15 security monitors, one for each camera feed. Will the 15 monitors be able to show all the images taken by the 15 cameras? Remember that each camera takes one image per second. Explain your answer. Show work.
e. The camera software has the ability to compress the image before sending it out to the guard station. The monitor display software can decompress the image before displaying it. What is the minimum compression ratio that is needed in order for all 15 monitors to display all images taken by the 15 cameras? Remember that each camera takes one image per second.
Be specific. Explain and justify your answers.
