1. The goal with the selection of the secondary sources for this portion of the assignment isn't specifically three set types of sources. The goal is to ensure we select a variety of three to four scholarly secondary sources. Not all monographs, and not all journal articles, but any mix of the types in the rubric. Also, the goal is to stress scholarly sources, meaning no History.com, Wikipedia, encyclopedias, etc.
2. The paragraphs template is not "set in stone" but a guide indicating we need to include basic bibliographic information and a comment about the applicability of each source. My example would be:
An article titled " 'The system of landlordism supreme:' David Lloyd George...and Highland land sales, 1889 - 1919," by Annie Tindley from the British Scholar Journal, published in September of 2010, presents information on the example Lloyd George set in trying to change land distribution in the United Kingdom. This is highlighted by this quote from the article "_____________".
3. These sources and quotes are a solid starting point, and it is okay if the exact sources and quotes used between now and the final paper change. If that occurs, we will update our secondary source paragraphs and bibliographies accordingly.
4. We will all review a lot of sources in the course of this project. Anything that added to our knowledge but was not directly cited can be left in our bibliography noted as "Reviewed but not cited," or something similar.
