Ahhh Jonathan Edwards! He was apparently charismatic, fiery, and inspiring. That definitely comes through in his sermons. After reading The Latter-Day Glory is Probably to begin in America," as well as our texts, discuss Jonathan Edwards, the First Great Awakening, and the more heart-felt spirituality he and his followers espoused. What do you think accounted for the change in styles/practices? What were the consequences of the Awakening?
