After reading the analysis of "Hills Like White Elephants" constructed by Paul Rankin (listed in this week's readings), compose a 2-3 page analysis of either the Hemingway story or "The Jewelry" by Guy De Maupassant. The analysis of the fiction piece chosen should present a thorough understanding and interpretation of the work being discussed, as demonstrated by Rankin's analysis, as well as a thorough understanding of how to analyze a piece of fiction.
