Problem: McKay et al. (2022) found that there is strong evidence between childhood trauma and adult mental illness. The amount of trauma increased the risk of adult mental illness (McKay et al., 2022). Yes, nurses are important to perform screenings and assess children. Nurses are also needed to advocate for no lifetime limits on mental healthcare. What else can be done to help these children? Please provide references.
