Problem
Bakar is the President of a mountain climbing association situated in Kampar. To encouraged and promote the sport of mountain climbing, he inserted an advertisement in the local newspaper dated 15th April 2021. He promised to pay a sum of RM5,000 to the first person who reaches the summit of Mount Kampar. The race has been scheduled to commence on the 31st of May 2021 at 8.00 am. On the day of the race, the participants gathered at the foot of Mount Kampar. The race began at 8.00am.
Thereafter, he approached Bakar to claim for the winning prize but was refused by Bakar stating that it was merely an "advertisement" and thus, there was no contract between them. Advise Simon.
