Many of the Codes of Ethics for the health care professions include informal "interpretations" or appendices that reference a professional obligation to address and disallow "incompetence" among others in your profession.
Drawing on a quote from your own professions code, address this issue of monitoring, dealing with, and addressing incompetence in your field. Mention the risks you may encounter if/when you face a situation where you feel a need to act. What would you overlook? I want this to almost be like a mini ethics philosophy for each of you. Provide an example of a situation when, as a qualified professional, you might need to address incompetence in your profession. How might you address the issue in a way that minimizes those risks from happening again or with others?
